o for the first time in a very long time I was long overdue for a Thursday night ride. However I shall have to be nice from ow on as I found out that Pete, Steve and Stan all read this blog. I wonder if I’ve been nice to them in the past…….
It was destined to be a good night when I noticed the white frame of Rich’s On-One inbred. So from the pub it was a good initial pace with the steep-ish hill descent and at the bottom me and a couple of riders stopped to wai as someone had left there keys in th car. All caught up we rejoined the group in the woods.
Uncle stAn was being nice to me and pointing out shortcuts here and there (including a sweet piece of singletrack that I think the rest of the group missed out on.)
From here on out it was a fantatsic collection of paths with no major incidents and it was so cool to catch up with everybody. The remaining highligths of the night were:
– The funniest off the sadlde backwards bail up a hill I have a seen
– Dazz and Dan performing smoothly on the jumps
– Dazz losing his tyre off the rim over and his inner tube resembling the best baloon animal poodle I have had the occular pleasure of.
Rich and I followed Steve on a shortcut and it was back to the pub for beer and cake.
