Creature of habit that I am I am awake, brushed of teeth and upon the scales before strong coffee and the breaking of fast. The results are as follows:

First the positives, I am really am quite dashing for a pudgy trainee bicycle mechanic from Leeds and also I suppose it’s good that I haven’t gained this week. Negatives, nah, I’m in too good a mood 🙂
Last nights really misnomered Pootle was properly led by yours truly. I learned two valuable lessons:
- Blimey, you really do ride a lot quicker when you’ve got the pace to set. I was on fire last night and was asked to knock a peg off at one point. Me, riding a bit quick, admittedly on supposedly a beginners night, but still, Me told to slow down…
- I figured out what that ride leaders look is all about. I always thought the look, slightly squinted, deep in thought look was about: Trying to judge the pace, making sure the pack doesn’t string out too much, everyone is having a good time etc. No. It turns out the weird scowl, squint look of consternation is purely because your the first bloody rider to plough through all the spider webs…
